8. (part c) The hanukiah should be placed between three and thirty feet from the ground and ina place where it is going to remain lit the minimum thirty minutes. If one is in a place where there is legitimate fear of provoking hostility, the hanukiah may be lit where it cannot be seen from the outside. (Rambam, Hilkhot Chanukah4:8; Shulhan Arukh 670:5, 7)
