2. The following are prohibited: eating, drinking, washing the body, anointing, wearing leather shoes and marital relations. Studying Torah, which gladdens the heart, is also prohibited, except for the study of sad subjects.

Barukh Dayan HaEmet. Kelal Yisrael has lost one if its most profound Torah giants, HaRav HaGaon Yosef Elyashiv ztk"l. When Benei Yisrael suffers such a loss, we must stop and think for a moment, What message is HaKadosh Barukh Hu trying to send us? We already lost our Beit HaMikdash, twice, and now our holy nation is continuously being diluted, losing one Sadik after another. It is time for sincere Teshuvah. Don't turn your eyes away. Think. HaShem wants his children back. We yearn for our Father too. It's time to build our Beit HaMikdash. If we haven't already started, now is the time to begin. Stone by stone, brick by brick, these three weeks, this Tisha'a Be'Av, we will have our Home.

I very much hope to see each of you in the Beit HaMikdash beKarov. May we all share only Bessorot Tovot from here on.
