Remember to say your Perek of Shir HaShirim!
3. Torah and Haftarah Readings: On the first day the Torah reading begins with HaShem's remembering Sarah (with childbirth). A portion about Rosh Hashanah is read from a second Sefer Torah. The haftarah is about HaShem's remembering Hannah (with childbirth).

Pardon that tomorrow's email is being sent a bit earlier, however there is a pressing issue that direly needs your support:
Attention Nashim Sadkaniot, Righteous Women!
One of the biggest sources of Kedushah and Taharah in the Great Neck community-Mikveh Moshe- is at extremely high risk of being closed down. There is a court case TODAY, August 29th, to determine whether or not the Mikveh will stay open. They want to bring the sheriff to close the Mikveh and shul, however, the lawyers informed us that we should gather at least 50 ladies to come to the court this morning at 9am to show our support and help keep the Mikveh open. Be'Ezrat HaShem we will be meeting at 54 Steamboat Road at 8:30am. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to be there; we all either directly or indirectly benefit from this Mikveh. The presence of the Mikveh affects the stronghold of Jews in Great Neck; we are not ready to give up the purity of our families and homes. We cannot afford to lose one of the biggest sources of holiness, purity and Berakhah for our community. Being Hodesh Elul, now is the time to rise and take action. We must do what we can to save our holy Mikveh.
If you are not able to make it to tomorrow's gathering, or if you do not live closeby, please take the time to sign a petition here. It takes only a few moments to do, yet will generate an eternity of zekhouyot.
Regardless of where you are, I call upon you special women to storm Sha'arei Shamayim, the Gates of Heaven, with heartfelt Tefillot, Sedakah and Acts of Hesed in the zekhout to keep our Mikveh open. The Mikveh is part of Be't Keneset Sha'arei Rahamim, the Gates of Mercy-May our efforts unlatch the doors of these Heavenly gates as well, delivering immense Mercyover this judgement. HaKadosh Barukh Hu will see our genuine efforts to save our beloved Mikveh and will surely intervene on our behalf.
I am very much looking forward to notify every one of you with the Bessorot Tovot that this Mikveh will always continue to remain open.
Thank you very much for your continued support, Tizku leMissvot Rabot Rabot Rabot!
