One Halakha Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

BS''D

12 Tishrei 5773

Please daven for a young boy, Tzvi Hersh bn Nechama who is missing since Mossai Yom Kippur. May we only have Bessorot Tovot!

Shabbat Kodesh Parashat Haazinu

In New York:
Hadlakat Nerot 6:23pm
Mossai Shabbat 7:21pm
Rabbenu Tam 7:52pm

BH we will be studying the Halakhot for Sukkot that pertain specifically to women.

Women are not required to eat in the Sukkah, as it is one of the positive commandments governed by time (from which they are exempt). If they choose to eat in the Sukkah they fulfill a Missvah. However, they should not recite the Berakhah of leShev baSukkah, as they cannot properly say 'veSivanu' (He commanded us) --since they werent commanded to do so, and this may be considered as a Berakhah leVatalah (a 'void' Berakhah)
