One Halakhah Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

32 (part c) One should not add any more steps than the three steps that we take back during Amidah because has ve'Shalom this can be seen as arrogance on their part.

Here is something beautiful that I learnt that entirely changed my perspective on Shabbat Kodesh and made it even more beautiful in my eyes. It is my wish that it will do the same for you. Enjoy!

When HaKadosh Barukh Hu created the world, He made the days in pairs. The first day, in which light and darkness were created, was matched with the fourth day when the luminaries like the sun and moon were formed since HaShem put the sun and moon within the light and dark. The second day, where the sky and water were separated is paired with the fifth day when fish and birds were created, where the fish were placed in the water and the birds were placed in that same sky. The third day when the trees and grass were created was paired up with the sixth day where wild beasts would roam this land. Shabbat Kodesh, the seventh day, came to HaShem and asked 'HaShem, all other days have a pair to them, but me, I'm so lonely. Who will be my partner?' The Ribono Shel Olam told Shabbat Kodesh that Benei Yisrael will be its partner. Just like the sun and moon were placed in light and dark, just like the birds and fish were placed in the sky and water, and just like wild beasts were placed in the land. Kelal Yisrael are immersed in Shabbat Kodesh. Shabbat is for us, it is our companion in the world. We must treat it so and appreciate that it is always there for us to elevate, inspire, advocate for and to protect us. Shabbat Kodesh has yearned for us since Creation- we must reciprocate and yearn back, always seeking its presence. We must learn the true value of our beloved companion.
