HaGaon Rav Hayim Volozhin (Nefesh HaChayim III:12-13) cites the Gemara in Houlin Daf 7b which teaches that if a person internalizes the Pasouk:
ה' הוא האלוקים
אין עוד מלבדו
'HaShem Hu HaElokim Ein Od Milvado'
Hashem, He is G-d, There is Nothing Else Beside Him (Devarim 4:35)
he will be protected from harmful forces.
This is a tremendously important Pasouk to always have in mind and to keep repeating over and over in the face of apparent danger. This is our mantra. We must realize that HaShem is the ONLY Force in this world and He is the One who runs it--THERE IS NO OTHER. When we understand and internalize this, nothing can ever harm us. I hope that those affected by the storm are safe and recovering. If anyone needs anything at all, please do not hesitate to ask. It would be my privilege to try and assist you. May HaKadosh Barouk Hu always protect His children and may this all be a source of Berakhah for Kelal Yisrael and most importantly a giant KIDDOUSH HASHEM! Kol Tuv Sadikot!
