One Halakhah Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

TONIGHT IS THE FOURTH NIGHT OF HANOUKKAH
Remember to say Al HaNisim in Amidah and Birkat HaMazon J

14. On Erev Shabbat (Friday evening), the hanukiah is lit before the Shabbat candles so that we do not create a situation where we light Hanoukkah candles when we have already accepted Shabbat upon ourselves (by lighting the Shabbat candles).

As it must remain lit for a half hour after nightfall and at the same time, must be lit at least several minutes before sunset, it must contain enough oil or large enough candles to remain lit for over an hour in order to last half an hour past Seit HaKokhavim.

**Please see attached flyer for a Ben Ish Hai Hanoukkah Extravaganza! Enjoy!
