One Halakhah Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

BS''D
21 Kislev 5773
Remember to switch to BAREKH ALEINU in the Amidah from now on!

*TONIGHT!*
ONE SHIUR CLOSER TO BECOMING AN ESHET HAYIL!
MidrESHET Hayil will be having a shiur tonight, learning PARASHAH, HILKHOT HANOUKKAH AND MUSSAR in under an hour, for ALL ages! Starting at 7:30pm at Torah Ohr, 575 Middle Neck road in Great Neck. You dont want to miss this!

(I realize the following Halakhah is longer than usual, but let's try to follow along....I'd suggest printing them out and placing a copy in your Siddour)

In the case where on forgot to make the switch to Barekh Aleinu (continued):

-If one already said the words 'Barukh Ata HaShem' in the Berakhah of 'Shema Kolenu', then say the words 'Lamdeni Hukekha' (so that it won't become a Berakhah leVatala/a Berakhah in vain), then insert the four words "Ve'Ten Tal U'Matar Le'Berakha'', and then continue with the Berakhah 'Barukh Ata HaShem Shome'ah Tefillah'.

-If one finished the Berakhah of 'Shema Kolenu' BUT didn't start the Berakhah of 'Resseh' yet, insert the four words "Ve'Ten Tal U'Matar Le'Berakha' there and continue with 'Resseh'

-Anywhere after 'Resseh' until BEFORE THE SECOND 'Yiheyu Le'Rasson' at the end of the Amidah, we would have to go back to Barekh Aleinu and continue from there.

-Once one recites the second 'Yiheyu Le'Rasson', we must start from the beginning of Shemoneh Esrei but skip the line of 'HaShem Sefatai Tiftakh'

(S"A 117, 5; Bi"H, Beshallach 18, K"H 117, 42) but skip the line of H-shem sifatai (K"H 114, 29) .

If one is not sure whether or not they recited Barekh Aleinu or not, follow the rules above until having said 90 Shemoneh Esreis. After the 90, we assume we said the right one and proceed normally in the Amidah.
