One ROSH HODESH ADAR Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

BS''D
Today is ROSH HODESH ADAR!!
Tonight is also ROSH HODESADAR!!!!

Remember to say Ya'aleh VeYavo in Amidah and Birkat HaMazon :)

 !!!!!!!!משנכנס אדר מרבין בשמחה

Adapted from the beautiful words of Rebbetzin Chana Bracha Siegelbaum:

Adar is the month of good Mazal, of good fortune. 'Just like when Av enters we decrease in happiness, likewise when Adar enters we increase in joy' (Talmoud Bavli, Ta'anit 29a). Being the culmination of the Jewish year, Adar gives us the opportunity to tie all the loose, hanging ends, and turn all possibilities of frustration and depression into joy. The phrase 'Nahafokh Hu'/ 'Completely turn around' (Megillat Esther 9:1), is the main key to connect with the energy of Adar, where we have the opportunity to transform the very points that bring us down to the things that raise us highest.

The Mazal of Adar is 'Dagim', two fish. Rashi tells us that just as the fish are covered by water and the evil eye cannot rule over them, similarly we are protected from the enemy (Rashi, Bereishit 48:16). All our Berakhah comes from being hidden, just as the our salvation on Pourim (which occurs in the month of Adar) was sent in a hidden fashion. Fish- in Lashon Kodesh, 'dag' represents the tikoun (rectification) of da'ag –'to worry.' The strong Mazal of Adar, converts all our worries to ultimate joy of redemption and rebirth.  The two fish of the Mazal of Adar represent Yosef's two sons who were blessed by Ya'avov 'To increase like fish within the land' (Bereshit 48:16).

"Glory and Majesty is her clothing and she laughs to the very last day" (Mishlei 31:25). Adar is bubbling over with laughter, as the last month of the year, and the feeling of having reached completeness causes joy. Laughter is the expression of unbounded happiness, resulting from witnessing the light of the Pourim miracle emerge from darkness – "The advantage of light from darkness" (Kohelet 2:13). Laughter, Joy, Happiness breaks all borders; this month is the time to take advantage of this window of opportunity and increase in joy and happiness.

BH may this be a Hodesh of ultimate transformation and of tremendous Simhah for all of Kelal Yisrael. May this be a month where we witness Yeshuot, big and small, where the very source of our pains and sorrows become the mekor of our biggest joys and Semahot. May this be the Hodesh where we witness the ultimate redemption, that of Mashiah Sidkeinou, BeKarov Amen!!
HODESH ADAR TOV UMEVORAKH!!!!
