One Halakha Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

BS''D
Today is ROSH HODESH IYAR!
Tonight is 17 Days to the Omer

The letters of אייר spell out אני י' רופאך, 'I am HaShem your healer'. The month of Iyar is one of both physical and spiritual Refuah, healing. On the first Rosh Hodesh Iyar after Benei Yisrael leave Misrayim, they end up at Marah, where the waters were bitter and thus unfit for consumption. It is here that HaKadosh Barukh Hu teaches us how to make the waters sweet and assures us that אני ירופאך as it says in the pasouk right there as we stood at Marah on Rosh Hodesh Iyar. It is a segulah for Refuah to drink the rain water of Hodesh Iyar. Be'ezrat HaShem may this be a hodesh of both physical and spiritual Refuah, May this be a hodesh where all the bitter turns into sweetness, May this be a hodesh of tremendous hasslaha rabah for all of Kelal Yisrael! Hodesh Tov u'Mevorakh!

Day 16 Gevurah of Tiferet: Discipline of Compassion

For compassion to be effective and healthy it needs to be disciplined and focused.... It is recognizing when compassion should be expressed and when it should be withheld or limited. Discipline in compassion is knowing that being truly compassionate sometimes requires withholding compassion. Because compassion is not an expression of the bestower's needs but a response to the recipient's needs.

Exercise for the day: Express your compassion in a focused and constructive manner by addressing someone's specific needs.
