One SHOUSHAN POURIM Closer to Becoming an Eshet Hayil

BS''D
15 Adar 5773
Pourim is not over yet! BH TODAY IS SHOUSHAN POURIM!

Please learn, do Missvot, give Sedakah for the ilui Neshamah of my grandfather, Ataollah ben Elazar. BH the Halakhot of the upcoming month will be in this zekhout as well. May his Neshamah reach the highest levels of Gan Eden. Todah Rabbah!!

Adapted from 'Halakhah of the Day', by Rabbi Bitton:
In Yeroushalayim, Pourim is celebrated today, the 15th of Adar.

Why?

In the times of Esther and Mordekhai, the Jews of Shoushan asked the King for an additional day to fight against their enemies. The King granted their petition so the Jews of Shoushan fought against their enemies on the 13th of Adar and on the 14th of Adar, and celebrated their deliverance on the 15th of Adar. While outside of Shoushan the Jews celebrated their deliverance only on the 14th of Adar.

Shoushan Pourim Sameah!
